BUTYL CS-24 is a high-quality rubber-coated sealant with excellent adhesion to most building surfaces. BUTYL CS-24 cures by releasing the solvent. The product is intended for use in enclosed, non-porous filler joints.
If the surface of the sealant is exposed to weather conditions, BUTYL CS-24 cures 3 to 5 days after application, depending on the temperature, due to solvent loss and forms a flexible rubber seal. BUTYL CS-24 is mainly intended for filling applications.
Application examples
– Durable air and watertight sealing between overlapping metal sheets
– air sealing of curtain walls, pipe seals, panels in vehicles and caravans, profiled roof panels
– remains flexible at low temperatures and can therefore be used to seal cold areas.
